![]() Honestly I recommended starting it at a higher difficulty. Levels sometimes can be pretty long, especially at higher difficulties if you keep having to replay checkpoints. You can save anywhere in the level and pick it up later. It is definitely way longer than Homefront. You don't really need Crysis 1 to understand what is going on. However, the story so far has been mildly interesting. Oh, I haven't completely finished it by the way. I find non stealth tactics to be a little hard but I'm also playing it at a higher difficulty. You almost always have an option as to which direction to go, whether to stealth the mission, or to go all out gunning or a combination of both. If you played Crysis 1, its not as free and open, but still a lot less linear than Homefront. If you buy it used you will have to buy the pass on XBL store. Also note that Homefront requires a pass to play online. Supposedly they have dedicated servers, but at launch I found it really laggy. Maybe if I put more time into it I'd get it better, but I dropped it quick. Honestly all the ideas sounded very unique and fun, but I really just got frustrated with them. Also there is some unique system where the battlefield expands as the game moves on or something. Its seems like it could add some strategy to the game but I didn't really get to test it out as I was getting murdered. You basically earn points for kills, and then can spend those points on vehicles you control or other upgrades. The maps seemed really wide and open, as if close combat was discouraged and sniping was encouraged. I found everyone was sniping, and I was getting killed non stop from people I couldn't see. Multiplayer was meh, but I only tried it for like 2 or 3 days, and this was at release date. ![]() Beat the level, beat the level on hard, beat it on hardest, beat it without dying, etc. Since you mentioned live, xbox achievements for homefront are really poorly done. Game play was traditional shooter with a few vehicle missions, although I kind of wished they left those out. Really added to the feel, and it was spaced out well so it wasn't over used. I feel like they did really well with some of the shock factors in it, ie seeing citizens shot in front of their screaming kid, etc. Personally I found the story pretty great but way to fast paced. ![]() Sure I could go back and replay it at a higher difficulty, but that doesn't make up for the fact that it was so short. Finished the campaign in one sittings, 5-6 hours max on the medium difficulty. ![]()
